About Us

The Welfare Hall was built in 1938. It has been managed by a Committee (Pontyates Welfare Association) on a voluntary basis since then.  We are a registered with the Charity Commission (Charity No 228339).

AGMs are held every year (usually in July) when officials and Trustees are nominated and re-election takes place. The Committee attend monthly meetings to discuss the general running of the Hall.

We employ the services of Mrs Maria Sanderson who maintains the Hall on a daily basis.She also manages the weekly diary and bookings. You can contact Maria on the Hall telephone 01269 860966 or e-mail us using the contact page above.

Income is achieved through hiring out of the facilities and fundraising. Grants are obtained from local Councils for capital and revenue projects.

The management of the Hall is achieved through hard work and extreme effort (often on a daily basis) by members of the Committee.
