Black Diamonds’ Social Group
Our ‘Black Diamonds’ Social Group for Senior Citizens meet at the Hall on the first Monday of every month from 2.00-4.00pm. Cost £1.
Various acitivies from quizzes and bingo to listening to speakers and doing gentle exercise. Over the last few months the group have enjoyed a range of speakers including Menter Cwm Gwendraeth, Wiltshire Farm Foods and Dennis Fox from Age Concern. The group has members from Kidwelly, Crosshands and Gorslas as well and Pontyates and Pontyberem. New members are welcome to join the group.
We also go out for meals at Christmas and trips in the Summer. Last year the group enjoyed a day trip to Weston Super Mare and also attended the CISWO Summer party at the Porthcawl Pavilion.
The Pontyates Group formed following a day trip in September 2008 to McArthur Glen Outlet Centre and Porthcawl.
